Hugh Bohling - Consultant
Hugh's speciality is corporate insurance/reinsurance and regulation. The focus of his practice has been on the insurance market as carried on in London, both at Lloyd's and in the company market, for UK and overseas underwriters, brokers and agencies. Hugh advises on insurance and FSA regulation and the commercial conduct of business in the insurance market. His deep legal knowledge and experience have been gained over some 25 years in the business, including as a partner in the insurance/reinsurance divisions of two City law firms. He combines this with technical expertise and market knowledge, enhanced by non-executive directorships of Lloyd's broker, Market Insurance Brokers and Provider Advent Capital, enabling Hugh to give the practical, commercial advice that is the hallmark of Carter Perry Bailey.
Hugh has been involved in major mergers and acquisitions, outsourcings, restructurings, establishments of corporate Lloyd's members as well as schemes of arrangement and transfers of insurance business.
