There is more to insurance and reinsurance transactional work than pure corporate law. Carter Perry Bailey marries in-depth knowledge of the insurance and reinsurance markets to transactional expertise.

We are delighted to have as a consultant to Carter Perry Bailey the former Head of Corporate Departments at Charles Russell and then at Barlow Lyde & Gilbert, Anthony Rose. Anthony has a wealth of experience in company law matters with a specialist focus on the insurance and reinsurance markets, going back over a period of more than 30 years. During that time he has also served as a Director of a Lloyd's broker.

Carter Perry Bailey's transactional capabilities includes the buying and selling of insurance brokers, advice on warranties appropriate to transactions, the buying and selling of managing agents and members agents at Lloyd's and the structuring of companies and joint ventures. Carter Perry Bailey's lawyers have also advised on FSA and Lloyd's regulatory matters, underwriting agency agreements, commission arrangements, binding authorities, consortium and co-insurance arrangements.

Competition law work has included successfully representing the acquiring company in a reference to the Competition Commission (formerly the Monopolies Commission) of a Lloyd's Names agency takeover.
